Home Page
Welcome to the Home Page of South Africa's King Shaka Regiment Pipe Band. We are based in Durban in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, and comprise a mixture of civilians and reserve force volunteers who play for the band in our spare time.
The band currently meets at the Winston Churchill Shell Hole in Westville for band practices, and proudly wears the red Wallace Tartan. The band was originally formed as the Montclair Pipe Band and has been a regular feature in Durban for over half a century. The band became affiliated to Durban Regiment in 1975, renamed King Shaka Regiment in 2021.
The Pipe Band is a non profit band. All funds raised go towards our operating expenses.
We hope you enjoy exploring our web page, and look forward to hearing from you if you have any comments, suggestions or queries.
