List of Known Events for 2022
Band practices resumed in 15 March 2022 following the end of the Covid 19 shutdown. The band did not take part in any competitions during 2021 or 2022. The band to appear at the following events:
15 Mar 22: Band practice resumes
10 Jul 22: ABSA 10km Fun Run (Band to Play)
16 Jul 22 : Delville Wood Memorial Service, the Durban Cenotaph (solo piper)
11 Sep 22 : Music from Scotland Concert - DLI hall (Band to play)
18 Sep 22: Memorial Service for Queen Elizabeth II, St Cyprians Church
10 Jul 22 : ABSA 10 km Fun Run (Band to play)
11 Nov 22 : Unveiling of Wall of Remembrance for Service Dogs and Handlers - Kloof SPCA (solo piper)
13 Nov 22 : Remembrance Sunday Service, Flame Lily Park (band cancelled due to weather)
15 Dec 22 : Kloof SPCA Carols by Candle Light (6 – 8pm) (Band to play).
Notes: You are welcome at all events listed above, and the bands and musicians appreciate your support. Gatherings (a fair) and concerts are specifically intended for public enjoyment. Most gatherings include food and craft stalls. Certain gatherings and concerts may be subject to entrance fees. Regional gatherings are normally attended by local pipe bands. Championship gatherings are attended by all competing bands in SA. Solo competitions listed above are intended primarily for the enjoyment of bandsmen, though interested public spectators are welcome to attend. Many include beverage stalls, but most do not include food and craft stalls. We will try to include more specific details for each event during the weeks leading up to each event. We will also add dates to this page as we become aware of them. Please check regularly for updates. Anyone hiring the band may also request for their event to be added to this page, provided it is of public interest.
